So in this video, I actually want to show you just a little part of the course where I teach people how to properly use search Web sites. When you’re looking for a car, what do you look for? What not to look for is going to be just a few minutes and it’s going to be really, really cool. Nuck, nobody else has actually shown this on the Internet at all. That’s why you’re watching me. Let’s do this. So I’m going to be using AutoTrader. And the reason I’m using AutoTrader, it’s not because it’s the best or special or I have a partnership with them. Is because it loads the fastest, so yeah, there’s actually way better websites that I talk about on my course, but we’ll use this because it loads fast. So first we’re going to set our sorting price. So we’re going to sort by price. We want to have always lowest price, not by miles, not by year, not by D posted, not by best or worst deal, lowest price. We are smart enough to figure out what’s the best deal. We don’t need to be told what is a good deal because we’re educated. We’re professional car buyers. Show me the lowest price. OK, so we’re gonna go lowest price. Then we’re going to select the year. I’m gonna stick with typically three 4 year old cards, so I’m going to go with 2014 to 2016. The reason I actually go for 2016, which is if in 2 years old, is just because maybe I will be able to find a really amazing deal. So I’m always open to options. But 2014 is really the oldest that I want to go. I could go 2013, but it’s going to be pushing it to five years.
And then if I buy a car that’s 5 years old, it’s going to have, you know, 50, 60 thousand miles and I’m not gonna be able to get the most value out of it. I can’t squeeze the juice. Is somebody else really squeeze the juices? I want to pick the most ripest fruit with the most juice in them. And that’s going to be a car between 2 and 4 years old, around 20, 30 thousand miles. Next, I’m going to show you a couple of things not to do, which is going to be when you click condition is going to give you a few different options. You do not want to mess around with any of that. Because let’s say somebody doesn’t know how to use the Internet, somebody doesn’t know how to post a car, which in this case is going to be 90 percent of people that post these cars do not know how to properly post a car. You think I’m kidding? You think I’m just being mean? I’m not even being mean. I’m like 100 percent serious. If you select used cars and some dumb ass, some retarded salesman put their car by accident as new or pre owned or certified, you’re not going to see that. So we’re going to go with the biggest field as possible.
We’re going to capture as many fish in our net as possible. We’re going to capture as many cars as we can and then we’re going to figure out which ones are the best. We’re gonna figure that out, not the Web site, because Web site doesn’t do a very good job. So on condition we don’t select anything location, I want to select radius and I want to look for cars country wide. I really do. So I’m going to delete this preset zip code next, Miles. Unfortunately, it doesn’t let me to select miles that I really want to choose. It wishes thirty six thousand miles. So I’m going to go with forty five thousand miles, and then I’m just going to select the best options. Next, we’re going to choose serious on AutoTrader. It lets you do that. I mean, it’s like whatever, you know, it’s really whatever. Geus, let’s click G.S. because it’s up here. Don’t want to wait for it to load. Then after serious, we’re going to click model. So what model? It gives us a couple of different options. We’re going to click more and we’re see which ones are actually highlighted. So I’m going to go for just just the simplest model, which is going to be just regular Lexus, G.S.
350. Now, when you go for the trim, you can select it. But I highly recommend you don’t select trim on any Web site because have to salesman. do not know what the actual trim is on their car that they’re selling. They don’t know. You might know because that’s the car you’re looking for. And you actually are expert at the car buying. You know, you’ve done three, four, five, six hours of research. And, you know, the trim levels, you know, the package is, you know, what the hell is going on with each car that salesman spend? Thirty five seconds making this ad. He doesn’t give a flying f••• about this ad, so he could have easily not put the trim of the car. So he can’t because he doesn’t even know. Do not select trims of the car. Next, we’re going to select price. And they actually almost never select price because I do want to see what the lowest price is. If the website is doing spammy things, if they’re trying to scam me and show me, you know, brand new cars for three thousand dollars, obviously I’m going to set price like ten thousand fifteen thousand dollars or whatever you think your price range is.
And we’re going to go on from there. Max Price, I also don’t set the max price simply because I’m going from lowest price to highest price. If I’m looking at cars that are outside of what I can afford, that means I’m wasting time and it probably shouldn’t be doing this next body style. Never choose body style. It’s useless if you’re looking for a truck. What’s the point of selection that you’re looking for a truck? You’re looking for F-150. It’s kind of hard to confuse that with a f•••ing Mini Cooper. Think you’re gonna be just fine next drive type. If you’re looking for a truck or all wheel drive SUV. You can’t select it, but if you’re not coming up with a lot of results, that means whoever posted these cars is a complete fricking idiot that doesn’t know how to post cars. Like I said, that’s 90 percent chance to be true. So we’re not going to select all wheel drive transmission again. Don’t selected. You’re just gonna have to look for it. Fuel type. I also wouldn’t select it unless you’re looking for something really, really specific. Fuel economy, what’s the point of that? Even I don’t understand if you’re looking for F 150. Should I be leaving, marking 40 miles a gallon? I don’t think I’m ever going to get 40 miles a gallon on a truck that’s useless exterior color. You can’t choose it. Yes, you can. However. What if the person did not include the caller? Let’s say you’re looking for a white car, but the person that’s listing these cars did not include that. It’s a white car. You’re going to miss on 20 cars that are not included just because these idiots did not know how to freaking include white color or any color in general features. OK. Same thing with the features.
Let’s say you’re looking for a car with heated seats and the person that posted this car did not include an option that this car had heated seats. It’s not because this car doesn’t have this option. It’s just this person forgot to wear. He didn’t think too or he didn’t see that option. That’s it. So with all this stuff, you do not include any of this. Don’t mark any of this stuff at all. Again, I’m not sure why it gives me an option for doors if I’m looking for a Toyota Corolla. I have not seen a Toyota Corolla that has two doors. Next one, select the type who is selling. I don’t care who is selling. I literally do not care if it’s private seller or a dealer. As long as they have the best possible deal in the country, I’ll buy it from them. I suggest you spend a couple of hundred dollars to learn an entire skill, entire f•••ing course. The whole thing. It took me 10 minutes to explain just how to use one Web site. Can you imagine what you’re going to learn in the course? I would love to tell you the whole thing, but fortunately we’re not in North Korea.
I get to pay my own bills. I got to build my own company. I have to take care of my own family.
