Honda has always offered affordable, fuel-efficient, and reliable vehicles throughout the years. The Honda Civic Ferio is no exception as well as a recognizable icon here stateside. This 1996 Ferio Vi model has a mere 3K verified and documented miles, yes you read that correctly (currently 3,210 miles to be exact). Finished off in Honda’s beautiful Matador Red Pearl (R-93) which looks astonishing in the sunlight. The body is in great shape with very few imperfections, and while the paint has been refinished in its original color, it shows very well. Fresh off of a Virginia Safety Inspection and oil with filter service, this civic is turn-key ready for the next lucky owner!
The Civic interior is quite spacious even in this compact sedan. Complimented with the low miles, is a tidy interior with very little use over its life in Japan. The seats are trimmed in a soft gray cloth and as you’d expect are in wonderful condition. The carpets and door cards and are intact with no significant rips, tears, or stains. Power amenities include electric windows, a one-touch driver-side window, power locks, and mirrors. The power-folding mirror option is present but the driver-side mirror will not fold in. We did replace the right-rear window motor and regulator when we serviced this sedan and is now fully functional. The dash is in good nick and also benefits the luxury of dual SRS airbags, which was not a standard option in the mid-90s. An automatic climate control blows cold A/C to finish off this summer, and the heat is ready for the winter to come. This Ferio is also equipped with a rare factory Honda navigation system that is operable and a neat feature to have even if it’s in Japanese.
The heart of this Ferio is the well-known D15B 1.5L SOHC four-banger. The mechanicals is straightforward since all the parts to service it are readily available here stateside. Whether you can turn a wrench or prefer your local Honda dealership, parts are easily obtainable. This fun little sedan is front-wheel drive and is equipped with an automatic transmission that includes selectable modes: Economy, Normal, and Sport. The engine fires right up with a twist of the key, thanks to a new 12V battery we installed here at the dealership. The power is linear and easily gets you up to the desired highway speeds and still gives you great MPG Honda’s are famous for. The suspension is responsive and handles the road bumps with no concerns and the brakes are confident. Also included are four brand new tires and a fresh oil and filter service. A unique yet recognizable, iconic sedan we know the new owner will fall in love with!
