R32 Type-M GTS-T 1990 automatic

American’s feel like we never got some of the most iconic sportscars released exclusively in Japan, but for the past 6 years we’ve been given a taste of the forbidden fruit. This 1990 Nissan Skyline is a prime example of one of the most sought after models. This GTS-T Type M coupe is finished in Nissan’s beautiful Black Pearl (732) and is in great condition revealing only minor blemishes and rock chips which is no surprise on a vehicle this vintage. The Type M package offers a lot of perks too like the 5 lug hubs, alloy wheels, larger brakes, optional aero, and an upgraded interior. Additionally, this example has also received some choice aesthetic and mechanical upgrades as well like the GTR hood, grill, and GTR forged wheels in addition to the optional OEM side skirts and rear spats. Notable repairs in Japan include a new radiator support and the body is straight with no major damage. Completing the aesthetic is a set of lowering springs and adjustable shocks which give this R32 a more aggressive stance and is finished off nicely with an OEM rear wing. Also notable is some trim wear consistent with age, but luckily Nissan still offers these parts brand new if you’d like to replace them down the road!
Inside you’ll find a couple of upgrades as well and a clean interior. While the dash does have the dreaded bubble the plagues R32’s it does not have any cracks. The drivers seat has been swapped out for a rare Blitz seat, although there is some fading and rips the seat itself is quite rare and desirable. the rest of the seats are factory and in great shape showing no major wear, rips, or staining. Both door panels are clean and free of nicks. The digital automatic climate control is functional however, the A/C is inoperable but the components are present. The power windows function properly as do the power mirrors however, the folding function is no longer operational. The gauge cluster has been swapped during it’s life in Japan and as such we can not verify the miles, so this vehicle is being sold with unknown/not actual miles. The steering wheel has been upgraded to a Nardi leather wheel. It shows minor wear and improves steering feel for the driver. The radio was removed by the previous owner, but all of the connections are still there so installing a US spec model is quick and easy.
Powering the GTS-T is the famed RB20DET. This 2.0L turbocharged engine packs a punch and is mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox. What’s better than a 3 pedal Skyline? One that sounds as good as this one! A 3″ downpipe flows straight through to a 3″ catback exhaust make the RB20 sing, who needs a radio when your car sounds this good? A new 12v battery allows the engine to fire up quickly and acceleration is a blast. The engine pulls strong throughout the RPM range and the transmission shifts well showing no signs of a slipping clutch. 4 brand new tires are wrapped around the wider OEM GTR alloys and new brakes and rotors at all four corners slow this R32 down as quickly as you want. We also removed the gas tank and had it cleaned and resealed, if you know Skylines this can be a big headache so we took care of it for you and also replaced the rubber fuel lines, fuel pump, and fuel filter while we were at it! Additionally, we replaced the serpentine belts and the left rear hicas arm bringing this Skyline up to date on maintenance and ready to drive home today!
