Produced between 1989-1993 the ST185 Celica GT-Four is an absolute legend in the World Rally Championship. The ST185 is Toyota’s most successful rally car, winning the WRC drivers championship in 92,93 and 94! The significance of the of the Celica GT-Four in the WRC can’t be overstated. Previously dominated by European manufacturers the GT-Four was the first turbocharged, AWD car ever entered into the WRC by a Japanese manufacturer.
The ST185 holds a special place in the hearts of rally car enthusiasts. It’s dominance in motorsport set the standard for Japanese manufacturers. Competition from the Mitsubishi Evo, the Subaru WRX and the Nissan Pulsar GTI-R spurred the JDM rally car inspired scene to unprecedented heights in the 90s, creating a generation of cars still adored to this day. The ST185 sporting factory trademarks such as the hood scoop, hood vents and pop up headlights was the beginning of a new and exciting era. Powered by the two liter 3S-GTE and mated to a 5 speed manual transmission this Celica is truly a blast to drive. Producing 222hp from factory and the full time 4wd system in the GT-Four has viscous coupling and an LSD.
